The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

“The responsible person must ensure that employees are provided with adequate fire safety training, this must include suitable and sufficient instruction on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard themselves and other relevant persons on the premises and be repeated periodically where appropriate”

All our trainers come from an emergency service background, using many years of experience to deliver excellent and enjoyable courses; which will leave you ready to contribute to the safety of your workplace.


This course is aimed at Staff members who will be taking on the role of Fire Warden or looking out for fire safety within the workplace.

Fire Safety / Marshal syllabus:

  • The basic chemistry of fire and its different classes

  • Firefighting procedures

  • Causes of fires and their prevention

  • Extinguisher recognition and use (theory and practical)

  • Fire legislation

  • Emergency lighting

  • Evacuation assembly point and fire drills

  • Fire alarms

  • Fire hazards

  • Routine fire safety inspections and maintaining a fire log book

  • Risk assessment awareness

Participants will be awarded a ‘Fire Safety/Marshal’ certificate.

Half Day Course – 3 hours


This course is suitable for lower risk environments or where a course is needed to compliment other first aid provision.

Fireshield Emergency First Aid Kit

Emergency First Aid at Work Syllabus:

  • Understanding the role of a first aider

  • Contents of a first aid kit

  • Record keeping

  • The unconscious casualty

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the safe use of a defibrillator

  • Management of a choking casualty

  • External bleeding and shock

  • Seizures

  • Fractures, Dislocations


Providing appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds and splinters.

Participants will be awarded an ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’ certificate, valid for 3 years.
1 Day Course – 6 Hours


This course is aimed at staff who handle loads in the work place.

Manual Handling Training syllabus:

  • Principles of safer handling

  • Factors of musculoskeletal injuries

  • Spinal awareness

  • Legislation

  • Risk assessment

  • Unsafe practices


Participants will be awarded a Manual Handling Course certificate.
2-3 Hours
